3/30: Visual Design

As we’ve been learning in this unit, all the dimensions of rhetoric we use in text can also be conveyed visually.  Today we will discuss how these design choices can help us create effective infographics and photoessays.

To prepare for class:

  • Read the chapter “About Visual Modes of Communication” by Anne Wysocki and Dennis Lynch (in ELMS) to discover how both image and design can capture the audience’s attention and convey the argument you want.
  • Submit your podcast project reflection in ELMS.
